Great Rose Bowl!
Well, the end didn't turn out like we wanted but it was
a great game. Some say the best College Bowl game ever.
I was very proud of my boy - despite many reports pointing
out the one fumble he made in the first half, he still
did very well - scored one touchdown and gained 82 yds
on 13 carries for a 6.3 yd/carry average. All this despite
being double- and triple covered the entire game.

The Relationship between Father and Son
Reggie Bush Jr.'s natural biological
father, Reggie Bush Sr. ("Big Reggie"), lives
in Inglewood, CA, 100 miles north of Reggie Jr's ("Little
Reggie") native San Diego, CA. From the time Little
Reggie was born, Big Reggie, then 20 yrs old, lived
100 miles away. This did not mean he did not want to
be with his son, however. Quite the opposite, as any
father with similar experience of a first-born son may
know.

Reggie Bush - watching my son in the early
years
Reggie Bush will be ready to show
highlights of all the videos he took of his son from
Pop Warner football to High School. When you see Little
Reggie running at 10 years old, you will not believe
your eyes. Big Reggie started taking the video because
his friends wouldn't believe him when he told them his
son would be a superstar. This film is intended for
non-profit purposes.

By mid-2006, Reggie Bush will
be coming out with his own book. This book will feature
the story of how one man dealt with the situation with
his first born son from a distance. It is a story of
one man's love for his son and children, despite his
circumstances. Very heart warming and inspiring. We
will be putting out excerpts of the book soon.

Positives:
Quite possibly the best overall prospect in the draft,
Reggie Bush has unbelievable agility
and the God-given ability to simply make defenders miss
with his athletic cuts and elusive running style. He
is a playmaker and a triple threat: running back, wide
receiver, and return man. He is an explosive player
that will draw immense attention from defenses and still
find ways to gain yards. Bush has a nose for the end
zone and carries a great work ethic from his coaches.
He won’t back down from the limelight and seems
to shine brighter when the situation gets tougher.
Negatives:
Bush has played with an amazing quarterback
and supporting cast his entire career, which takes much
of the defensive pressure off of him. He has had some
past knee injuries, but nothing too serious. Many scouts
wonder if Bush is durable enough to
withstand the hits of the NFL and be an every down back.
Overview:
Reggie Bush is a phenomenal player
with special attributes rarely seen. Analysts have compared
Bush as the one of the best
all around football players to come out of college since
Marshall Faulk and Barry Sanders. Although
only a junior, Bush has the experience, ability, and
knowledge to be a starter at the next level and make
a firm impact in no time.

REGGIE BUSH ON:
His expectations:
"I expect great things out of myself.
I expect to make great plays, great moves. In my mind,
I can never be good enough...It just comes with the territory
of making the most of what God has given you. I'm just
trying to make the most out of a blessing I was given."
His moves
"I don't really look at other people's
moves and copy them because, when I'm on the field, I'm
not going to remember them. It's just something that has
a lot to do with instinct and vision and all those running
back aspects that you have. You put them all into a basket,
and you just use them on the field and go out there and
make plays."
Reggie Bush Sr:
"When he started little league
football at 10 years old, he showed the same moves I
did when I played - the fluid cuts, the balance and
even the slowing down just before the goal line. I knew
he was special back then, so I started taping him during
his Pee Wee, Pop Warner and through his High School
days. I am just amazed on how you can see his moves
now back when he was ten years old. I know I wasn't
as coordinated at that age as him. It is as if he instinctively
knew where to make his cuts - at 10 years old!
USC Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Matt Leinart:
"Every time Reggie touches the
ball, anything can happen...He's an awesome weapon...A
lot of people think he's an outside runner, but he's
tough. He can run in between the tackles...When he first
came to USC, he was running all over our first defense
in fall camp, cutting back, reversing his field. We
knew he was special. Anytime he has the ball, something
big could happen. It's unbelievable what he can do."
Former USC All-American wide receiver Mike Williams:
"Reggie's the ultimate weapon."
USC athletic director and 1965 Heisman Trophy-winning
tailback Mike Garrett:
"He's going to be one of the best
ever. He looks like another Gale Sayers."
USC head coach Pete Carroll:
"I told him, 'You're the most valuable
guy on the field for what you're creating by your presence.'...The
overriding element of his game is he's just got such fantastic
hands. You can look at the speed and all the rest, but
few guys catch the ball so well. I'm talking about anybody,
not just running backs."
